This also means that any updates to the community system are immediately available to you and access to the system can be made simply using a PC.

The system will respond to your transactions depending on the way you want to use the information - by HCI input, EDI or system to system (ISL).
Security
The Oracle Weblogic architecture and the J2EE application environment provides a performant, secure and stable platform and user access is limited to the defined community system interface.
Auditability
The SQL database means that the system keeps a complete record of transactions showing what action was taken, when and by user id.
Maintainability
The use of J2EE tools and object-oriented design make the system easily maintainable.
Scalability
The HP based hardware infrastructure is available in a wide range of configurations making it ideal for use in all size ports.
Multi language
The preferred language for a particular user is specified so all screens and messages from the community system could be translated to the chosen language.
Platform independence
Ease of portability to another database has been taken into account at an early stage by using platform independent tools i.e. JVM and relational databases.
