Software Releases
Given the adage that 'standing still is the fastest way of moving backwards in a rapidly changing world' Destin8 is subject to continued maintenance and enhancement to functional areas as well as its operational infrastructure. Functional and major infrastructure changes are managed through a Change Release Review Board (CRRB) where we always aim to minimise the impact of system changes by focusing, where possible, development work on interrelated areas as well as using existing messages to their full potential before contemplating changes that may have wide ranging knock-on effects. Changes and/or upgrades are therefore implemented through established release cycles of 9 weeks for major releases with ad-hoc point releases for emergency fixes only.
Current Release
The current Destin8 release is 2.5.0. Destin8 release 2.6.0 will be the next full functional release and is currently scheduled for Tuesday 18 May 2010.
Release Notes
When a new release is implemented fomal release notes are issued in advance to key stakeholders and placed in the public domain on the day of release. Release notes contain outline information on change requests and fixes. Where applicable, please click on the links below to obtain a copy of the respective release notes.
