New Year, new Website – and an Anniversary!

We are pleased to announce that we have at last launched our new web site, available on www.mcpplc.com|. Much of it has been developed in-house and it takes advantage of the latest available web technology and tools. The primary aim is to provide our customers and users with more on-line support through information dissemination, as well as underpinning the company's external promotional activities.

The site uses the Contensis web content management system as a backbone, so that it is fully integrated with our corporate knowledgebase and with Destin8 documentation, thus providing a consistent pool of readily available, up to date information.

The infrastructure provides for a range of services and functionality such as Destin8 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and for those with valid Destin8 log-on credentials, access to system guidelines, functional information, message specifications and a real-time system status display. In addition, corporate information on MCP plc and its activities together with the latest 'what's new' items, application forms and general information packs are all available on-line.

For those of us old enough to remember, the 28th of January also marks the 25^th year of operation of MCP's Port Community System! Yes, 25 years of FCP80, FCPS and now Destin8 - and with the port of Greenock having just joined us, the system is now in use in 17 UK ports.
